What is The Geek Allstars podcast?
Good question…. Just like this blog, it’s a podcast about Movies, Gaming (both video and board) , and a whole lot more! Basically whatever the three of us knuckleheads can think of to talk about or want to talk about we will.

Congrats on the first podcast! Enjoyed listening to it, although most of the gaming talk was over my head. I just finished mastering Pong. Looking forward to more geek/movie (and maybe sports) talk soon.

Dave, Thanks for the good words. I am pretty sure that with NHL free agency and the thick of summer baseball season that we will likely get some sports talk in as well.

Nice Pod! But you guys are whack when it comes to the new Planet of the Apes film. I’m liking what I’ve seen (especially compared to that Burton monstrosity that came out awhile back). Go apes!
I agree with Lost going sour. May not have been JJ’s fault though, since he left to work on a movie right after the first season. Most of the later plots were dreamed up by others.
But I do blame him for that Star Trek. You guys all seemed to like it, but yeeech! I liked the casting and was looking forward to seeing it, but too many eye-rolling moments for me. Tried watching it again recently to see if I missed something and couldn’t get through it.
We agree completely of True Grit though. Coen’s rule!
Despite disagreements, I liked the pod!

PS: one production note. It’s painful to listen to voices panned hard right and hard left, especially on earphones. I suggest putting them all at center. Or at least have yours, since yours is the main one, at center, and have the other panned -slightly- off-center.

As for the movies we shall have these nice discussions during one of our board game sessions!
And thanks for the production note as well. I noticed it myself when trying to listen back in my headphones (since I am deaf in one ear I noticed it right away). However I have 0 idea how to fix it so I will have to research all this. All learning!
Glad to hear you liked it too, we are all excited to do it and cannot wait to get to episode two. When we pick our top movies/actors/actresses compared to the academy, I am sure you will have a bunch to say as well.. which makes it all that much better!
