The Amazing Spider Man Trailer and my thoughts… #spiderman #movietrailer
While not exactly connected to comic-con 2011, I did stumble upon this new teaser trailer for “The Amazing Spider Man” on superherohype.com .
It’s a decent looking trailer but I have a few reservations that come to mind. First, the problem I have with re-boots, is that we must again go through the whole origin of the hero. Do we REALLY want to see Peter Parker bitten by a spider? Do we really want to see him learning about his new powers? Honestly I don’t. Don’t get me wrong I also don’t want to get blasted with so many villains that I cannot even keep them straight like in “Spider Man 3” but we need a happy medium. Next, the obvious question. Is the whole first person perspective thing a gimmick for the trailer or is the movie actually going to use this extensively? If it’s just either a gimmick for the trailer or just a short part of the movie then I am 100% fine with it. Too much of that and audiences will have people puking from motion sickness. Not a bad teaser I am just not sold on it. Just like I am not sold on “Captain America” that opens today but that’s a different story for another day…
Oh and anyone else think that Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) while he is narrating sounds like Kumar? (Kal Penn)
I found this blog googling “spider man sounds like kumar,” so you should know at least one person is with you on this.
